Cable tray mount
Cable trays are an indispensable element of the modern electrical infrastructure, which provides ordered laying of cables and wires. But in order for the system to work efficiently and safely, it is extremely important to choose and install the mount for the trays. Incorrect mount can lead to sagging cables, damage to insulation, and in the worst case - to short circuits and fires. Therefore, the choice and installation of mounts should be paid to special attention.
The choice of suitable fasteners
The choice of fasteners depends on several factors: such as a cable tray (perforated, stairwell, tubular), its size and weight, the material from which it is made, as well as from environmental conditions. For light trays with a small number of cables, simple suspended brackets or clamps are suitable. For heavier trays and large loads, more strong fastening elements, such as brackets or suspensions with adjustable height, are required. The fastener material also matters: in aggressive media (high humidity, chemically active substances), corrosion-resistant materials, for example, galvanized steel or stainless steel, need to be used. Do not forget about the need to use damping gaskets to reduce vibration.
Installation of fasteners
Installation of fasteners should be carried out in accordance with the project and instructions of the manufacturer. It is important to observe the recommended distances between the mounting points in order to ensure sufficient bearing capacity of the entire system. The mount should be reliable and exclude the possibility of spontaneous disconnecting of the tray. When installing on walls or ceilings, dowels and anchors should be used, suitable in size and material to the base. Before starting work, it is necessary to make sure that the base is able to withstand the load from the cable tray and the cables laid in it. Do not save on the number of fasteners - it is better to play it safe than to then eliminate the consequences of poor -quality installation.
Installation quality control
After the installation is completed, it is necessary to conduct a visual inspection of the entire system. Check the reliability of the fastening of the trays, the absence of sagging and deformations. Make sure that all cable connections are made correctly and safely. Regular inspection of the system during operation will timely detect and eliminate possible malfunctions and prevent emergency situations. Remember: high -quality fastening of the cable tray is the key to safe and uninterrupted operation of the entire power grid.
